France is doing a great job on the olympic opening.

Despite the pouring rain, seems like everyone is having a good time. I like the parade of boats holding the athletes. Great special effects also.

Joking aside, it would be interesting to figure out how LA is going to create "a spectacle".It's probably going to be a stadium show instead of a travelog like this Paris opening is.

11. It was magnificent and moving.

The finale couldn't be equalled unless someone took off in a rocket while Edith Piaf came back to life and sang her heart out.

12. I happen to enjoy the stadiums. AND this *was* quite wonderful!!!!!!

Especially since I previously ended up unexpectedly visiting Paris as part of a gifted vacation!
And while I was there in '16 when I got off, and out of the subway station close to the Eiffel Tower there was an Advertisement for Paris in competition (back then) for The Summer Olympics of '24!
