Did Netanyahu promise Trump not to end the war before

the American election when they just met at Mar-A-Lago?
That certainly wouldn’t surprise me since Bibi would rather Trump win.
And a ceasefire/hostage release before November would be good for Harris.

It's their nature to put themselves over the country. And I'd bet money that the pro-Palestinian protesters don't understand that, under a trump presidency, there will be a new trump tower in the West Bank. He looks at the entire area as a real estate development. There will be no cease fire under a trump/netanyahu alliance.

Sat Jul 27, 2024, 11:42 AM

He has 2 far right members of his government who have publicly said they will bring down the government if he commits to a ceasefire. Netanyahu's top goal is to remain PM, who would never do something like Biden did for the good of Israel. From some accounts, as many as 72 percent of Israelis want him to step down. If he does, he faces the conclusion of several corruption trials without the factor of being PM.

The other possibility is that he may have moved to agree with the Ben G'vir and Smotrich. His father was a disciple of Jabotinsky. He has occasionally spoken of a Palestinian state, only to disavow his words. Recently the Knesset passed a resolution that was against a Palestinian state.

Axios had an article, written by Barak Ravid, that spoke of how Netanyahu's comments in the US may have complicated the ceasefire work by explicitly rejecting things that were to be worked out in later phases. https://www.axios.com/2024/06/03/gaza-hostage-ceasefire-deal-netanyahu

Note Netanyahu trying to scapegoat VP Harris by saying HER comments could hurt a ceasefire. He says that any difference in US vs Israeli positions does that ignoring that Biden's position has always been different than Netanyahu's and the public statement from Harris is consistent with everything she and Biden have said.

In the Congress, he knew he would be cheered and some would criticize those who did not come. I doubt there is anywhere in Israel that he could count on this response.

In addition, he thinks he makes it harder for Americans to take any nuanced opinion.

I also thinks he wants to scapegoat the Democrats for when there is no cease fire. Not in Israel, where his perfidity is known, but here.

About Orban's visit to Mar a Lago. Could have sworn that there was a bit in our Constitution about private citizens making treaties with foreign powers. Yet here's TCF having all of these secretive meetings with sinister leaders.

What did both Biden and Harris share with Bibi - that he later went on to tell Tr**p?

What did Tr**p learn about how Biden and Harris would approach this with Bibi?

What strategy will Tr**p now employ - now that he might have been tipped off by Bibi - how Biden and Harris would deal with this situation?
