Why not the All-American Astronaut Senator who is married to a former Congresswoman?

I get that Pennsylvania has 19 EV's to Arizona's 11, but do we want a VP who is pro-school voucher and carries baggage regarding the Israel/Gaza situation? Shapiro will draw protests from hardline Progressives.

Gabby Giffords, a great Congresswoman whose service was cut short by an attempted assassins bullets now spends her time advocating against gun violence.

I see nothing but positives with a Harris/ Kelly ticket.

He's an American hero Astronaut and that is so easy to sell without any effort. Plus he's a fire brand who will smoke Vance like a brisket.

Once again, my pitch, an Astronaut.

Plus if something happens to him, there's a spare.

They keep moving the goalposts to come up with different ‘reasons’ to misrepresent and smear Democrats in order to excuse voting third party/allowing Trump to win.

They’ll find a way to smear The Astronaut as well.

(he is a great choice, but unreliable self-described “Hard Progressives” really don't figure in.)

I am thinking about someone like Briahna Joy Gray etc when I hear the term “Hard Progressive.” influencers like her tear down Democrats constantly. They’ll do the same Harris and to any VP CANDIDATE she chooses.

Joy Gray voted Stein, not Hillary. She shat on Biden constantly. She’s already posting anti-Harris stuff.

I’m clearly not talking about you or any other DU progressive.

in my book. To the day I take my last breath, I will never understand how anyone could want to shoot/kill Gabby Giffords. sighh...

That said, it boils down to the person that Harris feels most comfortable working with in all circumstances.

(still I get great glee at the thought both would be so adjacent to the White House and Gabby would be able to influence gun policy at the highest levels)...

We cannot afford to lose any senate seats if President Harris is going to get her legislation passed, and get the supreme court cleaned of its rotten republican appointees.

Most importantly: Mark Kelly would also make an outstanding President.

Most everyone I grew up with has expressed a wish to be an astronaut, so I think Sen. Kelly would attract both men and women to support the Democratic ticket.

1. He doesn't have elected executive office experience.

2. He's not a dynamic public speaker.

Other than that, he's fine.

She needs someone with whom she feels comfortable as a partner, in the campaign and in governing. That's a very personal decision that may come down to personal chemistry.

I trust VP Harris to make the call.
