as a Command Sargent Major. They met at Camp Wellstone in St. Paul in 2005. Camp Wellstone is a candidate and activist workshop to build grassroots support for candidates and campaigns. That is how Paul Wellstone won his first election against Plywood Minnesota founder and then Senator Rudy Boschwitz in 1990. The symbol for Camp Well stone is the Green Bus. In Tim;s first run for Congress, the Green Bus was brought out.

Tim Walz is a powerhouse here in Minnesota and a dear friend of mine since 2005. I saw then Congressman Gil Gutknect at the Olmsted County Fair in July of 2005. I said to Gil(who I knew as the President of the St. Pius School Board and local Rochester Auctioneer) at the GOP booth, "I know your opponent. You do not work for the POTUS, the Republican Party, or the Committees in which you sit. YOU work for me and everyone in the 1st CD. And we have the POWER to change your job description with a flick of a pen!" The rest became history.

Tim would be a great running mate to Kamala Harris should she select him. Tim has the bona fides to do the job. He does not suffer fools, nor is he easily intimidated. He defeated every Republican opponent who dared to go against him. Even the late Jim Hagedorn, twice!

We may have lost a champion in the 1st CD, but we GAINED even more as Governor.
