1. Why? She's delivering what her bosses and bosses' bosses ordered.

At least, that is a reasonable inference. Unless someone wants to demonstrate otherwise, her persistently having that job is a sign that she is doing what, and in the manner, the PTB at ABC want her to do.

Maybe instead of acting like she is an aberration at ABC, people should tune out from ABC.

fail miserably at holding politicians feet to the fire on anything. Sununu pulled the typical chuckling blow off of anything the felon says dismissing the seriousness of it. Raddatz played along. It’s a ridiculous disservice to Americans.

8. Oh, she participated in minimizing it with the "what the heck did..."

The addition of "what the heck" made it into a little joke. She felt pressured to ask the question because Harris' team put out a statement on it, but she thinks actually taking Trump's campaign rhetoric seriously is silly and unimportant, so she cued Sununu's belittling response by belittling the question herself.

4. Alex Witt on MSNBC did the same thing.

She played a clip of Sununu trying to clean up what Trump said, without actually playing a clip of what Trump said. A few seconds of Sununu and then on to her next subject. She didn't even want to discuss it.

Her answer was that was not what he thought his job was. Jennings job (to him) was to keep his face on the screen, not to report the news. I have never watched the talking heads since then, as I don’t care if they keep their “jobs.”

I read news from reporters without any of the spin from those who refuse to report or question anything.

If one of them told me it was raining, I would look out my window to verify it.
