Tim Walz: "Last night, I'm sitting in the Nook eating a Juicy Lucy and who calls? Joe Biden

To say 'thanks Tim for standing with me.' That's the type of guy he is.”

This was Walz responding to a question from Tapper if he was wrong about criticizing Dean Philips for running against Biden. Needless to say, he is unapologetic.

The conversation is in the second tweet below. The whole thing is worth listening to.

The Juicy Lucy at the bottom is for informational purposes.

David Hogg from Florida..the gun control advocate/activist who survived the Parkland school shooting, and that Marjorie Taylor Greene was stalking all over Washington DC saying the shooting never happened...He and Walz have done a lot of work together trying to curb gun violence. And if he's good enough for David Hogg, he's definitely good enough for me!

Plus now I REALLY want a Juicy Lucy!!!

My first choice was Mark Kelly, but there is concern about him losing his Senate seat. What I like about Mark Kelly is I know he won't scare the bejeezus out of Midwestern voters, particularly white males which Dems always struggle with.

However, the more I see Governor Tim Walz I think not only will he not scare the bejeezus out of Midwestern voters, he will actually appeal to them as well (not that Kelly wouldn't, but I feel Waltz a more dynamic speaker.) He understands the Midwest mindset
and framing taking away women's right to choose and other rights as "mind your own business" was genius as far as appealing to Midwest.

After seeing more of Governor Tim Walz I am leaning toward him as my favorite for VP. Worked in agriculture, served in the National Guard, was a teacher (Including Nebraska of all places).

Finally, I didn't realize the whole "weird" term that is growing to describe Trump and J.D. Vance came from Tim Walz. Sheer genius.

true, and, yes, the "weird" for Vance is sticking already.

Walz has this! And having been governor, he would easily step into the position of president if anything ever happened to Kamala Harris. And as bad as the secret service is, I hope their first act in office is to make the secret service more competent and well-staffed.

Not worried about their fee fees this time around. They need to evolve. Potential dead enders must adapt before it's too late.

Edited to add: I would not be mad at a Mark Kelly choice, but my preference is Pete -- as risky as that might be.

Any VP Kamala chooses will vigorously support her platform. If they happen to bring along some stragglers who normally vote for the other party, great!
