Though I voted for her (and don't regret it for a minute) HRC was dead wrong when she dissed single payer health care, and asked "How are we going to pay for it, Bernie?"

"According to multiple studies, single-payer healthcare systems could save money in the United States. These systems could save money by eliminating unnecessary paperwork, insurance company profits, and high drug costs. They could also negotiate prices with drug companies and provide lifetime coverage for everyone at a similar cost to what is currently paid for coverage of only part of the population."

https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2020/01/416416/single-payer-systems-likely-save-money-us-analysis-finds

And, more importantly, a study from Yale, HRC's alma mater showed that:

More Than 335,000 Lives Could Have Been Saved During Pandemic if U.S. Had Universal Health Care

But single payer (I'm a fan) wouldn't pass today and it certainly woud not have passed then. As a lifetime self insured person, I want single payer as much as anyone. However, if Hillary had hung her hat on that issue, she would not have been our nominee. Unless and until we end the power that insurance lobbyists and corporations have, single payer won't happen. Unfortunately.

States have stripped Medicaid to bare bones, Medicare is a cash cow for insurance companies under “replacement plans” which deny care, SS is threatened. We need to come up with a plan that is protected from the R’s down the line.

HRC isn't a magician , she knew it wouldn’t fly.

I remember when Rove ran the comms shop for Bush & every weekend you could turn on the "weekend talk shows" & see a dozen or so Republicans hitting the same talking points using the same words. It seemed like every week the talking points (messages) were handed out & they all delivered them, repeatedly. It was damn effective, it's Messaging/Marketing 101 & for decades I've wished that we Democrats could be that coordinated & effective. I feel like I'm finally seeing us do it & I'm excited as hell about it!!!

I hope we NEVER stop!

if only he could get elected in November. His people would never have to worry about voting again. Nothing weird about that kind of shit talk, that kind of talk is straight from a wannabe dictator.

And NO...Trump is not just joking, being sarcastic, funnin' around or having a "moment". That POS is dead serious when his fried brain can't stop him from speaking the truth about his true intentions.
