Debating conservative bs? Mayor Pete gave a masterclass on Fox News the other day being interviewed by a female talking head. Now we're calling them weird, lol. Are Democrats taking the gloves off? In my memory, liberals were always ladies and gentlemen dealing with this scum. I'm liking this new attitude. They were scrappy Dems of course, but this feels like a breath of fresh, fighting air

Too many older Democrats still adhere to the old rules when both sides preached civility.
Both sides also mostly avoided outright, easy-to-fact-check lies. That's no longer the case.

5. 100 percent. I've been waiting for

an era when the post-1960-born Dems take over, and it is here. Most of them are much better at not pulling punches.

It's frustrating, though, because our politicians (for the most part) have wasted 45 years being too polite and civil to people who have been more than happy to run us over and then back up and do it again.

7. It's not about age.

Once upon a time, the GQP also maintained some decorum. But since they threw any pretense of civility (and basic human decency) out the window, those who care enough to fight are fighting back as hard. The only role age plays, is that the youngest left wing has no memory of anything besides the fascist filth misbehaving, and some older liberals aren’t willing to break a lifetime of conditioning to speak only in the most genteel terms.

And, the Zoomers' rhetoric is often REALLY blunt, and they are flanking the vanguard and encircling the enemy. Less playing nice. These people aren't McCain and Ike, and too many folks still act like they are.

And, this group of Cons are 100% the enemy of all that is decent.
