I continue to be perplexed by this.
It's not ever discussed as a negative for trump's re election. In my mind there are few issues more relevant. trump stole highly classified documents. Squirreled them away in his mar a lago bathroom and refused to return them.
Can they claim it's "fake news" their old stand by? There's plenty of photographic evidence. Plus he admits he took them.
trump has not been convicted of anything regarding this case. What was Hillary convicted of? We of course remember "lock her up". And in spite of four years of trump and his bullshit AGs, no charges were ever filed. So that doesn't work either. And their argument against Hillary, is that her email server is why she is not qualified to be president, because she cannot be trusted with classified information. Oh but we can trust trump?
And I won't even go into other egregious security screw ups by trump. Blurting out classified information in front of the Russian foreign minister in the middle of the Oval Office. Granting White House Security clearance to Prince Jared and many others after they were denied clearance by the Secret Service. Blabbing sensitive information to an Australian businessman for no reason whatsoever.
Yet none of this resonates it seems.
Why are we not MAKING it resonate??

(3,910 posts)Pending cases would never made one iota of difference to trumpists regarding their opponent, whoever it is

(23,463 posts)Harris is introducing/reintroducing herself to America, and outlining her vision for the future and defining herself before Trump can.
I expect the docs case will be front and Center come the fall, although much of the exposure will come from dark money PACs, not the Harris campaign.

(18,900 posts)By the time it winds its way through the appeals court then the US Supreme Court it will be way after the election. So the media has an excuse thanks to Cannon, to put the story on mothballs until a few years down the road.
Now can we please get back to the horserace of the 2024 election. The closer it is to trDUMP/Harris, the more money that will be dumped into television adverts. Beside trDUMP is such an exciting and good copy presidential candidate, chaos and mayhem abounds.

Although the dismissal is being appealed, Im not counting on much help from that case.
