The journalist was quoting his supporters. She let Trump put the word in HER mouth and she answered HIS question. She should have said "That's the quote from your supporter, not me."

He's greasy like that. Hard to counter. Honest people often lose to liars that way.

Like when he turned the question around in the 2020 debate and got "Proud Boys", which gave him his "Stand back and stand by" moment.
