(8,878 posts)Pretty sure they don't want the MAGA idiots driving by their homes with bullhorns, shouting vile things late at night when they refuse. Might as well start off as they intend to proceed.

(1,831 posts)I'm gonna tell all you fascists you may be surprised
The people in this world are getting organized
You're bound to lose, you fascists are bound to lose
Race hatred cannot stop us this one thing I know
Your poll tax and jim crow and greed have got to go
You're bound to lose, you fascists bound to lose
All of you fascists bound to lose
You fascists bound to lose
All of you fascists bound to lose
You fascists bound to lose
Youre bound to lose! you fascists!
Bound to lose
People of every colour marching side by side
Marching across these fields where a million fascists died
You're bound to lose, you fascists bound to lose
I'm going into this battle, and take my union gun
We'll end this world of slavery before this battle's won
You're bound to lose, you fascists bound to lose.

(15,402 posts)Fascism is a zero sum monster at heart. There is no place for individual innovation, art, or leisure.
Everything belongs to those at the top; the leader and their enablers.
And even those at the top are fighting amongst each other to determine who will be the next leader, and who will fall out of favor and fall back into the mass of powerless drones.
But most Fascists are too egotistically stupid (or venal) to realize there's just as large a target on the backs of them and their families as there is on those who are Enemies of the State.

They have this enormous blind spot - rules dont apply to them.
Well see.

(446 posts)Ok fantastic. This is momentum, but Im going to be a somewhat buzz kill..
PLEASE DO NOT lose sight of our goal. Our goal is to elect Kamala Harris as our President. I am excited to see many republicans finally coming to their senses about trump, but I am skeptical about the GOP party members. This may be a truly memorable day if true, or an attempted set up to create havoc.
Keep pushing your GOTV and not lose sight.

(3,720 posts)I went to college in AZ and I know Mesa. It's a hotbed of Mormon domination at all levels of local government. This is a significant defection, even if it's not huge in number.

(1,461 posts)won in both 2020 and 2022 in AZ. They can do so again in 2024. These are the issues that voters cross party lines for. I'm really glad that the Repugs for Harris group is really taking off. It's an important piece of the campaign puzzle that can get repugs who care about these important issues to cross party lines. While these 2 critical issues don't need any additional help, I would also add in reminding AZ voters of tRump's attacks on Senator John McCain's military service will be an additional help because I think a lot of AZ. voters were offended by these attacks by draft dodger tRump in addition to his threat to democracy and women's reproductive rights.
