We've all talked about this in the past - Why can't our rich people fund a news network for our side? I think it probably hasn't worked (Air America radio, Al Jazeera tv, etc...) & won't work for various reasons. Top of the list (IMO) is that we don't/wouldn't hate listen/watch 24/7 like they do on the reich. My old man would watch MSNBC and Amy Goodman and Thom Hartmann all day and night. Most liberals aren't going to do that. The fox watchers never turn it off. They're rabid. Our side isn't like that.

is brutal at times. But like I posted in another thread earlier today, my wife has worked in the local media in our swing state for close to 30 years and bends over BACKWARDS to play it down the middle. (she's a died in the wool Dem like us) Just know that there are still real journalists out there doing their level best to report accurately, fairly and decently.

There is no evidence to support the frequent assertions on DU that this race is currently indicative of a Democratic blowout. None.

It's a close race and it will most likely remain a close race. The only states that matter are the swing states. At present, they're all close (with the exception of one poll in MI which may be an outlier), and it's unlikely that Harris will open huge leads in any of them. Unless or until she does, the "horse race" descriptor is perfectly accurate.

Overconfidence was part of our downfall in 2016. Let's not repeat that, please. This is going to be a close race and we have to act accordingly. We need to act as though we're five points behind.
