I felt it and I felt that from the candidates, Harris and Walz, and from those that attended in the tens of thousands. Their enthusiasm was infectious.

I have never been prouder of our party. I was crying and they were tears of joy. I know for a fact that we can do this. We can.

I felt it in 2008, 2012 and 2016. I felt determination and relief in 2020 (and President Biden is the best president of my 65-year lifetime).

I feel happy now - because of our strong ticket. And, because they are, like the kidz say, leaving it all on the field.

As I watched this team, I thought that we owe an enormous debt to President Biden, not only for being a great president the past three plus years but also for being one of the most decent, strongest persons around to give up his dream of a second term so a stronger candidate could have a chance.
