(10,478 posts)Shouldn't we have a chance to see him live? That's the press's job. He's a candidate for President of an influential part of the globe, and the result is in no way in the bag at this point. If they DIDN'T show it people would complain they were hiding his inability to speak in complete sentences, and the complainers would be right.

(2,937 posts)It would be through the roof. Does anyone still believe his lies? Are his cult members still onboard, even when they see the images of Kamala's rallies? I know they won't leave him, but do they comprehend the level of the lies? Even if they don't care?

election night he can scream "I was always ahead in the polls, those damn Democrats done it again
stealing elections." And then he'll give them their marching orders, remember he's said bloodbath
more than once.
On election night FQX better be telling the truth to their viewers and reminding them Thou shall not kill..

(56,188 posts)relatively few people listen to an entire speech or press conference.
and how the media decides to spin it matters.
the coverage since harris became the de facto nominee has been much more fair than it has been in ages, but they continue to normalize donnie.
it remains astonishing how completely batshit crazy they went over the mere theoretical possibility of a hillary indictment over her emails, when these days donnie's 34 convictions, numerous pending indictments in multiple jurisdictions, including a far more overt and provable version of the crimes hillary was investigated for, all that is just a minor footnote and they continue to cover donnie as a viable candidate.
they'll disqualify a democrat at the drop of a hat, but there seems to be nothing a republican can do to get disqualified in the eyes of the media.
ok, santos somehow crossed that line, but probably only because he even worse at lying than donnie.

When I came downstairs, I asked Mr. Mossfern how it went- he said same as usual.
He put on MSNBC for a minute and it appeared that they were talking about this seriously.
I think Katie Tur was speaking, but I still had leftover sleepwebs in my brain.
on edit: How in the world can anyone take this seriously. Honestly I was hoping for some
sort of announcement. In no way was this "news." It was just a cheap ploy to get coverage.
The news networks should just block him. No fact checking either...

(22,565 posts)Weak, whiny, and very, very low energy, at least at the beginning. I didn't get very far, because unbeknownst to me, my tablet was in the process of running out of juice, and it died about a third of the way in. It's charging up again, but I don't know if I'll bother to go back and watch the rest.
The part I've seen so far was pretty boring. He looked and sounded old and tired, and there was no oomph to his delivery at all. He wasn't even an old man yelling at the clouds, just an old man mumbling at them.
He'd rather die than admit that he's worried or scared, but I'm sure he is both. And all the things that are going on are obviously draining his energy. Let's hope that process continues.
