Why isn't the media reporting on Trump's increasing dementia?

Today, Trump held an hourlong news conference in the main room at Mar-a-Lago. He insulted Kamala Harris’s intelligence, lied about the state of the U.S. economy, and claimed the country would be in mortal danger if he didn’t win the election.

In other words, the usual Trump torrent of lies and insults.

But what got my attention was his description of his departure from the White House as a “peaceful” transfer of power, his insistence that the group that mounted the assault on the Capitol was relatively small, and his boast that attendance at his January 6 rally preceding the assault was larger than the crowd Martin Luther King Jr. drew on the National Mall for his “I Have a Dream” speech.

14. Donald Trump is a pathological liar. Facts and belief don't enter into his rhetoric.

He says whatever he thinks serves his interests in the moment, including obvious easily disprovable lies.

The key to pushing a BIG LIE is repetition. There are only so many ways to push the same false narratives, which is why he often sounds like a broken record.

NEVERTHELESS he is definitely showing signs of decline in his delivery, looking more like a confused pathetic old man telling the same lame stories over and over again, ocassionally inventing new ones (like the helicopter crash that didn't happen) or expounding on weird theories like an electric boat with a battery too heavy to float (nobody asked him how a boat too heavy to float got to where the sharks are).

He is fast becoming a diminished figure, but the media needs to act responsibly in reporting the condition of a candidate who was manifestly unfit to be president in 2016 and is even moreso now.

His fabrication about being aboard a helicopter that had a hard landing in California, claiming Willie Brown was on board the same helicopter (Brown says he has never been on a helicopter with Trump in his life). More research uncovers that he was on a helicopter in 2018 with Gov. Jerry Brown and Gov-elect Newsome during wildfires in California but there was no hard landing. The ease with which Trump is confused has to be concerning because the mind is playing games with him. Having such a person as President should scare the crap out of all Americans and needs to be factually reported.
