(405 posts)I thought I read somewhere that he had an airplane mechanical -- thus stopping in Billings. He was pissed, so he had a tirade about a mechanical incident that supposedly happened years ago -- regarding his ride in Brown's (?) helicopter that suffered a hard landing. Now's he thinking about suing about it. But Brown says he wasn't even there. Typical Trump BS.
BTW, if he's flying on Trash Force 1, those old 757s can be cranky sometimes. You can bet that he puts the bare minimum dollars into mechanically maintaining the plane. It's all about that shiny new paint job.

(1,211 posts)We live in a world that is nothing but facts. When Trump lies, it is a fact that he lied. Whether it is recognized as a lie by the person hearing it, or not, is also a fact.
The fact is, I am not debating whether we live in a world of facts or not. lol
But, the fact is that there may be something wrong with interjecting actual... facts.

(10,595 posts)reminded us that trump wants revenge on Tester for messing up trump's appointment of Ronnie Jackson to some post. Jackson didn't get the position because of drug and alcohol abuse that was investigated by a committee that Tester was on.
Hayes may be onto something, since there's nothing that motivates trump more than revenge.

(3,560 posts)Was there, ostensibly , to campaign for the Repuke thats running against Democratic Senator, Jon Tester. However, weve all seen what he does even when hes supposed to be campaigning for others: He mentions the candidate, and maybe gets them on stage for a few minutes (at best), but its still Caligulas Grand Tour of Personal Grievances. As always, its about him.

(102,795 posts)I know there are quite a few on campus already. People have to travel to get to this gig so it should be interesting to see how many actually show up.

(8,878 posts)Particularly in the Bozeman area. Also, the size of Bo-zone, as many locals lovingly call it, really isn't an issue. People in Montana are used to driving long distances on a regular basis. Medical care, equipment, even groceries are a LONG way from home for a lot of people there.
Used to take me 3 hours, each way to get basic home maintenance supplies and groceries, also doctor appointments. Don't let the size of Bozeman proper fool you. People in Montana put a LOT of miles on their vehicles each year. And this time of year, it's still light a lot later than most of the nation.
That said, I don't think TCF will get many people, but that's not what he's there for. He's after big donor dollars.

(8,878 posts)Prior to that, daytime speed limit was 'as is safe and prudent for conditions'. Used to be a problem for people coming from other states and looking forward to doing 90 or better just for fun, but without experience at high speeds, and without experience with wildlife, mountain roads, black ice, and all the other aspects of driving under the Big Sky.
hatrack
(64,889 posts)OTOH, how long did the no-limit speed limit last? I want to say maybe three or four years, but can't remember.
Attilatheblond
(8,878 posts)and until national limit of 55 was imposed, so pretty sure is was longer that 3 or 4 years. Possibly that was the time when it became broadly known across the nation and all the speed demon tourist decided it would be a fun place to drive... and occasional die.

(28,493 posts)don't have a clue. They've never worked an election of any kind before, have no idea why people go to rallies, why the candidate goes to them, nor do they know how to turn rallies into actual support for their guy.
I honestly think he'll get the lowest votes ever.

(761 posts)Bozeman itself has become very progressive, so it's an interesting choice, but people will come from rural areas and I bet that place will be pretty full. That's my alma mater. Been to a million events in that building including receiving my B.A. It makes me ill that that prick is speaking there and that tester is in such a tough race. Ugh.
