I can't remember so much energy -- and pushback -- against a Republican nominee for President.

Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, McCain, Romney, even the first go-round for Trump.

They must have imagined that we could be steam-rolled into submission into an autocratic Christian theocracy with just one more election.

They don't have Plan B ready.

She lives in Arizona and we live in California and I see them twice a year. I keep my mouth shut around him and never talk politics. I don’t know how she survives and my Mother in law worries about that marriage surviving. They have three adult children and they spend little time around them because they get into political fights and tension. My husband goes out there every year for the superbowl and this year they got into a political fight so bad that he left their house in the fourth quarter and missed the overtime excitement! He says next year he’ll stay at his Mothers house to watch the superbowl and not go to their house.

I would have dumped that guy a long time ago!

They have a number of initiatives to prevent certification of election results, reject mail in ballots that arrive after election day (could void hundreds of thousands of dem votes), and other voter denial mechanisms.

Their goal is to ballot denial, ballot rejection, certification rejection at the state level, and ultimately getting the election decided by the house.

That is their plan b.

The case is queued up now. Arizona just killed a case that wanted to do that and if appesled the decion will be upheld.

Alabama killed an almost identicle case, but it goes to the 5th circuit, which can very well overturn the decision and declare any mail in ballots that arrive after election day invalid.

That sets the stage for a split court, which requires scotus to settle the issue.

If scotus allows/reauires states to literally throw out ballots that arrive after election day, that could toss hundreds of thousands of votes. Mostly democratic votes, but also military and overseas ballots.

We all know the fifth circuit.
