Why do the Olympics

Make me cry? Am I alone? It’s so good to see so many people, from all over the world compete peacefully. These Olympic Games, especially, in the City of Love, Paris, seem to have been the best nes I have seen (on TV) in my nearly 70 years here.
Wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

There are at least two of us. 😊 I have watched and enjoyed more than ever before. And tears have come to my eyes more than once. not just the sporting events, but the stories. I don’t think I have made it through a single interview with a Ukrainian athlete without crying. The small countries winning their first ever medals. The come from behind moments, the close battles, the joy AND the heartbreak. It’s just about all I’ve been watching - with a few breaks for Harris/Walz news.

has been corrupt since 1988. This year, the two worst robberies came in thefts of decisions from two of the top Irish women. Though it made me mad, I did not cry.
