Mike Lindell vows his visit to Democratic Convention will 'flip Democrats' to Trump

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said he would take his crusade against voting machines to the Democratic National Convention (DNC), where he hopes to "flip Democrats" to voting for former President Donald Trump.

During an interview on the War Room podcast over the weekend, Lindell falsely praised Trump as the "great real president."

"Well, like our great real president always tells me, he says, Mike, he goes, you get these big applauses, but that's cuz the people want what I'm trying to get to," Lindell explained. "They want secure elections, everybody does."

"I can go anywhere," he insisted. "I'm going to Chicago next week for the Democrat convention to be there and to flip Democrats."

I was a Clinton delegate to the 2016 National Convention. There is a ton of security at a national convention. You need credentials to get into any event. For the actual convention, new credentials were issued to the delegates each morning before the state delegation breakfast.

He’s apparently flat broke, and I know from first hand experience that hotels jack up their prices by multiples when there is a convention in town.

In 2008 in Denver, I figured I’d have to sleep in Durango and commute by air because it was cheaper than the $1200 a night the few downtown hotels that still had rooms were charging. I finally found a student who wanted to rent his room for $450 for the month. I said I’d pay his price for the duration of the convention, and he could rent it out again for the rest of the month for all I cared.

Somehow, I doubt that Lindell, broke or not, would rent the dorm apartment of a college student, even if it were free. Maybe if the Chicago cops aren’t too hard on vagrants sleeping on benches at the train station?
