Provoking some answer to your question that, by itself, makes news. And then you have "new cred" with your peers and, in a small unspoken way, you become "The Alpha." Even if only for awhile. Until the next news guy or gal has "that" moment and then he or she becomes the new "Alpha" and everybody forgets about you (unless somebody's keeping track).

And at THAT point, the "somebody who's keeping track" can make a name for him/herself and maybe write a book about it or get interviewed enough that they become a go-to figure on TV and the lecture circuit. There are all kinds of ways to parlay this into fame and fortune. Ghoulish, alright, but hey - there's money to be made. And if you've made a name for yourself, there's MORE money to be made. And you might even get your own show...

He stood in front of reporters, whose questions we could not hear, but rest assured, he answered none of the questions and lied every single time he opened his mouth. The only time he did come close to the truth was when he revealed how upset he is about VP Harris's and Gov. Walz's crowd sizes, which he attacked with lie after lie after lie....with no pushback from the assembled media. When they do an actual press conference with Trump, they can start asking VP Harris to do one. But do a real press conference with the lying, twice impeached, convicted, adjudicated rapist, insurrectionist first.
