NJ-07 debate between Kean (R) and Altman (D) rescheduled to October 13

The first debate between Democrat Sue Altman and Republican incumbent Tom Kean, Jr., has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 13, at 8 PM.

The debate was originally set for September 29, but Altman developed a scheduling conflict after she had initially accepted and requested that the debate be moved to another date. The new debate date was set with Kean’s consent; under the rules of the debate, he could have stood firm and participated on his own.

Altman and Kean are facing off in New Jersey’s 7th district, which is widely considered one of the most competitive House races in the nation.

The 90-minute debate is sponsored by the New Jersey Globe, On New Jersey, and the Rebovich Institute of New Jersey Politics at Rider University and will be streamed on the New Jersey Globe, On New Jersey, Facebook Live, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.
