Donald Trump’s interview with Elon Musk got off to a rough start Monday night after being delayed due to technical issues, but once the talk began listeners noticed something else was off: Trump’s speech.

The scheduled chat started 30 minutes late after Musk’s platform failed to launch a livestream, which Musk attributed to a “DDOS” attack. After the interview got underway, users were quick to point out that Trump didn’t sound as sharp as usual.

“Not a joke here: Trump is really badly slurring his words. This is quite disturbing,” wrote columnist Rex Huppke. “Something is wrong with him.”

“Trump is slurring in a way I've never heard from him before,” remarked podcaster Susan Simpson. “Elon sounds like this is maybe the third or fourth time he's had a conversation with a fellow human.”

His Ad popped up for 5 seconds before a YouTube video started, and i actually watched it for a few more seconds because he seemed so sedated and subdued. Not his usual self. Whether it's his handlers or his choice to calm his nerves, he really seemed sedated.

He asked for money but added he didn't want people who were struggling to donate, but if they could afford a few bucks it would be helpful. He said they need funds but have been getting great donations and having huge crowds at rallies, all said slowly and without enthusiasm or bluster.

I almost felt sorry for him (I'm a caring person) but appreciated seeing him so subdued!
