(1,992 posts)The out of control crime that republicans always lie and project about comes from their own red states and cites.
That's why they're always trying to deflect attention away from it by bashing California, etc., although I think jealousy of Cali's successful economic policies plays a huge part...5th largest economy in the world that none of the red states combined can match.
They're a party of criminals, run by criminals.

(1,992 posts)Why would anything want to voluntarily live in area with no safety net, no sustainable jobs with reasonable pay, no protections for anyone except the obscenely rich, etc.
I think i was reading about Texas last week about a power company that to sue those using renewable power tech for lost profits or something, acting as if they're entitled to peoples' money whether they use their services or not. They'd earn a hearty and prolonged go FUCK yourselves from me if I lived there.

(46,143 posts)It is true that 7 of the top ten deadliest cities are in Repub states. But all ten of those cities have Democratic mayors. Which is why I didn't like AOC's response back in 2022 and don't like it being resurrected today. A much better point to be making today is that crime in those cities with Democratic mayors is dropping.
