Gov. Walz walked in on the DNC Black Caucus Meeting this afternoon!

Omg omg omg omg 😲
GOVERNOR Tim Walz just showed up to the Black Caucus Meeting!!!!!!

“The one thing you can always count on — a lot of times in history, you can count on the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, and you can count on white politicians coming to Black communities to ask for their vote,” the Minnesota governor told a rowdy crowd that remained on its feet throughout his brief remarks.

“What’s different this time,” Walz continued, “is, we have a Black woman gonna lead us.”

“Look, we understand something that we grew up hearing about: towards a more perfect union, strong and decent nations acknowledge their past: the good, the bad and the ugly that goes with it. We acknowledge it because it lets us chart a course for the future. Those guys are taking us back,” he said, referring to Republicans aligned with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. “We’re not going back.”

Walz said: “We’re going forward in a country where everybody matters, everybody’s got a chance. Everybody can see generational wealth, everybody can get access to capital to start their small business and a recognition that the systemic and historic barriers that were put in place in front of Black communities have stopped that movement.”

And he responded to the Trump team’s apparent disdain for the “joy” Harris has brought to her campaign: “They can say whatever they want; you know the only time they laugh is at someone less fortunate than them. They see our most vulnerable citizens as scapegoats and punchlines for their jokes. We see them as neighbors and people who deserve to have respect.”

Cruelty is the point. They take great pleasure at the misery of others. They are sadistic.

Witness the 1/2 Hour News Hour, which lasted
for 17 episodes on Fox News and was awful for every one of them. It destroyed Dennis Miller’s career.

I used to love Bill Mahar and paid for an HBO subscription just so I could watch his TV show. Now he has done a "Dennis Miller", and I wouldn't walk across the street to see him live for free.

I remember a discussion on supporting a concept of Matriarchy over Patriarchy and a straight young man said, (and I paraphrase, of course,)

It's better to be the first mate on a sound ship that can sail the ocean of the future safely than to be the capitan of a ship that is falling apart and about to sink.

Tim Walz could be grumbling about playing second fiddle to a woman ( and a woman of color at that) but he knows that Harris is an excellent leader who will guide us well. He wants to help. He doesn't need to be the guy on top as long as we are all lifted up.

DJT is most definitely the sort to want to rule in Hell rather than serve in Heaven. . . Trump is willing to smash his party and destroy democracy if he doesn't get to be the one and only birthday boy every day of every year.
