President Biden made a comment that might have gotten lost during the applause that was a direct hit against some in the

MSM who had been pushing how "angry" President Biden was at those people who said he should step down. He said it wasn't true, and that he was doing this because he loves his country more, and we needed the best chance to save our democracy.

After President Biden's presentation, I briefly turned to CNN where they were complaining how things went on too long and too late.

It seemed to me that the only one bothered by that was Tapper and maybe a couple of other commentators, because the people in that Convention Hall loved every minute of it.

I watched it on MSNBC and thought they did a great job. All my favorites were on the panel, including Rachel, Joy, Lawrence, Chris Hayes, Jen Psaki, ad more. I enjoyed listening to them compare notes about what we had all just seen.

When the show cut back to the panel after Joe's speech, they all looked verklempt, especially Rachel. They sang the praises of everyone who spoke, especially Hillary and Joe himself and didn't say anything I could find fault with.

and I am sure he decided that while he could win, as many of us thought, a younger ticket has better chances.

By doing what he did, he completely bamboozled the opposition, which spent all its energy bashing him.

Joe outsmarted and outplayed everyone, for the betterment of himself, the party, and the country. Most of all, he loses the howler monkeys, the hate machine, and the doubters, who will ALL BE FORGOTTEN, while his record, and unselfish acts will be known forever, and that's 100% wonderful with me.

It's not that Joe "remembers" the doubters. It's that they will be forgotten, and he won't. Great leaders have vision that transcends the short term matters.

and it's members to celebrate and thump their chests before the rest of the Nation. Tonight was too long for Tapper, Axelrod and others because it was an unchecked success, and the chattering class couldn't point to a single dud speech or any awkward moments they could harp on.

And you are right, the folks for whom it might have been too long, the folks who crammed the hall, they all seemed to be loving every minute of it!

not only a blow to Tapper's reputation but the beginning of the end of cable gasbags integrity and relevance...add to that, the never-ending 24/7 loop questioning Biden's age, mental acuity, gaffes, senior moments, physical health, will he/won't he withdraw while praising Trump's supposed stamina and ignoring Trump's unchecked toxic stream of lies, insults, conspiracies, racism, nonsensical blathering....and then came that Sunday in July...Joe stepped down and handed the torch to Kamala throwing the MSM into chaos...with Joe out of the race, Jake Tapper, CNN, and to some extent MSNBC, had no choice but to cover Trump in all his psychotic glory..

Jake, try as he might, could no longer parse and sell Trump's Hitler-speak, race-baiting, antisemitic slurs, hate-filled/revenge-fueled verbal vomit as something resembling meaningful discourse..and an angry Jake could no longer admonish viewers for expressing their displeasure with CNN "normalizing" Trump's descent into madness ...like the dog chasing a car, Jake caught the car...oh shit, now what????

And add to that it was a bunch of these media types who were calling for Biden to step down, thinking he wouldn't, and leaving them all set to harp on him for the rest of the campaign. But he did, and that now makes it harder for them to attack the Dems and the ticket.

And impossible to ignore Trump's glaring madness, as he displays all the bad things they were so concerned about in Biden, writ huge!

Be careful what you wish for...

and when they didn’t, they could only complain about the late hour and their fatigue. Poor babies… CNN should have sent younger talking heads.

And Tapper truly has to switch out the squirt of lemon in his cocktail. His permanent sour face is irritating and annoying.

caught my attention, but it was delivered during so much excitement that it might easily have been missed. I know TSF has been putting out some shit idea that Joe is angry, gonna take it back from Kamala, etc. etc. crap - Joe diffused that without question, so I say to TSF, 'would just shut up, man?!"
