I think the Likud has been in power more or less since that time. It's one of those what if things. What if Yitzhak Rabin wasn't assassinated and the Oslo Accords went ahead? Where would things stand now? I don't remember which UN resolution it was, I think it was during the Obama administration, but it was a resolution involving Israel and I think the US abstained, and it was a big deal. That was a big reason why the right-wing believed Obama was Muslim (he wasn't), and all this other stuff. Which of course has led me to this question that I have asked for a while now: Does Netanyahu really have our best interests? I have my doubts.

Two things happened within a few days of the two co-conspirators meeting at Mar-a-Lago on July 26.

1. Haniyeh, the lead ceasefire negotiator for Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran on July 31.
2. Netanyahu issued new demands to his ceasefire negotiators in late July. These demands were not in Biden's ceasefire framework. Netanyahu was warned by his own advisors the new demands would lead to Hamas rejecting the deal. A couple of days ago, they did. Just as Netanyahu knew would happen.

It was reported that, according to U.S. officials, the two spoke again on Thursday, just before or during the latest talks. One or both have denied it so it must be true.
