George Conway is another one of those Republicans that, in an earlier (and probably later) time, would be our opposition. Rick Wilson is another, ( remember he was the leader of the Brooks Bros. Protests that confounded the Florida vote in 2000). Yet they still care about American democracy so in the era of Trump, we need all the allies we can get to defeat this danger to our country.
