1. No, but a lot of women have heard that some beer can be good for milk production, and careful

timing and intake won't affect the baby. It certainly helped me -- a happy mama means a happy baby.

And the content of alcohol that gets into breast milk is very very small. It's the same as the blood alcohol level, so not enough to affect the baby, unless you're rip-roaring drunk, and then only maybe or if the baby is really small.

It seems like I've read that it's hops that help the milk supply though.

3. You wouldn't see beer ads for moms, but back when I was nursing (30 yrs ago) lots of us nursing

moms used a beer to stimulate milk production. It was common. I think it still is, actually.
