In Response to Michelle Obama's Advice

in her speech that when you feel that sick sense of dread and anxiety about the future, don't just sit there and stew, do something.

I just joined Democracy Docket for a year. I am limited to what I can do because I was advised not to drive anymore since viral meningitis left me unable to properly judge the distance between two objects. I also am on disability because of my depression and anxiety which has gotten severe enough to to get me hospitalized a few times. So door to door campaigning and calls aren't something I'd be good at. I get too nervous. I have talked to some family and friends about voting for Kamala and how as a historian the dangers that I see could arise should Trump get the White House back.

My biggest fear is the Supreme Court trying to over rule the will of the people even if Kamala wins in a landslide. So I decided to donate some money to the lawyers who will do their best to prevent that from happening. Yes there are some scummy lawyers like Ghouliani, but I have done research for and took paralegal courses from some very honorable ones who love the law and this country. Plus some of our top Democrats are lawyers. So this is my do something step to try and help and have some hope.
