Hate has no place in the Little Free Library community.
That is the stance of the nonprofit Little Free Libraries but in Charlotte, hate has found a home in the birdhouse-like huts that can be found in neighborhoods, parks, churches, and other community centers.
Experts say materials found in some of Charlottes miniature libraries arent just controversial, its outright racist propaganda.
Channel 9 Investigates found several copies of a racist book titled The Breeds of Sneeds & The ABCs of CRT, written by an anonymous author under the pseudonym Doktor Süss.

(7,026 posts)I realize this is not a public library you refer and so the situation is a bit different than in school libraries and community libraries. While I find racist and anti-semitic books abhorrent, I also don't like book-banning. To me boycotting this library would be the best approach.

(56,214 posts)This is not "book banning" as this isn't even a real book! Also, why would one boycott a library?! That seems even MORE counterproductive. Also, these are "Free Libraries", which are boxes on people's lawns. People place their used books in them and people can take them, for free, and return or replace them with other books for people to read. Finally, this anti-Semitic shit showed up in multiple free libraries, how do you propose one boycott all of them, especially if it is not known which ones have that filth in it?!
This is but some of the illustrations. Don't lose sight of the anti-Semitism involved here!!!
