The issue is not that the AP should be telling us that Trump is a liar constantly. There is little need of that.

The issue is that the AP is claiming that Democrats are liars because they are making claims that are counter to Trump's statements.

If Democrats claim that Trump will enact a nation-wide abortion ban, they are liars because Trump said he would not.

If Democrats claim that Trump is linked to Project 2025, they are liars because Trump said he is not.

That is the issue with the media.

It does point out the following:

But just a month earlier Trump suggested he’d support a national ban on abortion around 15 weeks of pregnancy. He also often brags about appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade, ending the constitutional right to an abortion."

John McEntee, a former director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office in the Trump administration, is a senior adviser. But the fact that it doesn't bring up how much of a liar Trump is (with a record 30,000 lies just in his term in the presidency) as well as Trump's ties with the Heritage Foundation AND essentially commissioning Project 2025 back in February 2022 in a public event, is still criminal.
