TSF says anyone who burns the U.S. flag should go to jail for a year...

That's being reported by Rolling Stone magazine (link below -- a paywall).

Meanwhile, the National Flag Foundation says burning is the proper way to dispose of a flag. Why can't this man, or somebody on his staff, do an even mediocre job of research before he comes forth with his majestic edicts?

How many years should you get for beating the shit out of the cops with one, throwing one to the ground to replace it with a Trump flag, walking around in the US Capitol with a flag that isn't the Stars and Stripes, making a flag that's a US flag at the end closest to the grommets and a Confederate flag at the other end, or overlaying Trump's campaign shit on one?

We won't even start in on how many years you should get for stealing the operator's maintenance and operation manual for a nuclear bomb and storing it in the bathroom of the hotel you own.

5. How about for flag humping

I personally think humping and kissing Old Glory on stage, in the presence of an audience, is certainly a much more grave affront to the American flag.

Disgusting!

I say, “Hang them.” I’d favor burning traitors, especially treasonous Presidents and former Presidents, at the stake, but that would be unusual, if not cruel.

To dispose of old flags in our scout troop.

Side note: I’m kind of a flag protocol stickler. Where I worked at they had 3 flag poles. A U.S. flag, a Texas flag, and a company flag. All 3 were at the same height. It took a few tries to get them to keep the company flag lower than the other two.

The company I worked for is in a very red area. Yet I was the only one who ever tried to get it lowered. All the bs I’ve heard about how maga reveres the flag is just that.

12. Here's a thought: what is or is not a flag?

I mean, is a flag made out of paper a flag? Is a photo of a flag a flag? If you burn a book with a picture of a flag on page 97, did you burn a flag?

Effing ridiculous.

13. What about using the pole that a flag is attached to as a weapon

To batter policeman who are protecting members of Congress from a mob determined to stop the House of Representatives from voting to certify the results of an election.
Should those who used the American flagpole as a weapon be given additional jail time?
