Now that he has established his excuse if he blows out in this debate - he's willing to go ahead with it. Although we still have a couple of weeks before - he might change his mind again.

Now if he does blow out on the debate - he can say it was ABC and the debate coordinator that is the problem or that the debate was rigged somehow.

Which is unfortunate. I read somewhere that Trump talking while muted was one of the things that threw Biden off, since he could still hear Trump. If she agrees to an additional debate, which I think she should, muted mics should be a condition, as well as the ability to take notes. And for g-d's sake, how petty is it that Trump's campaign wouldn't agree to change it to a seated debate? Yes, both candidates agreed to standing when Biden was the candidate, but Kamala is 5'2" and shouldn't have to stand up there in heels the whole time.

I wish she had pushed for a format more like the 2020 VP debate before taunting Trump about backing out the first time. She should insist on a similar format if she agrees to another debate.
