The most important thing, that never mattered in an election before, is the candidate doing a sit down interview. I am sure Dana Bash will hit Harris with all the right wing talking points, but after that, can we just get back to the the real consequences of this election.
I noticed the Media is happy with Trump because he sat down with the NABJ, never mind what he actually said. Or the threat to Democracy.
Or that all his other interviews were on Faux and NesMax.

(4,739 posts)and the last group to know this is the cable news clownshow.
The Harris campaign is keenly aware of this.
The media/press has been complaining that Harris hasn't availed herself to them, but no one else gives a shit.

(3,523 posts)The big "gotcha" interview that breaks the momentum. Harris' campaign in on to that racket.
All these reporters are in it for their own glory anyway (and ratings, clicks and eyeballs for their masters). To write books, make $$$ and stroke egos down the line.

(17,580 posts)They'll be able to double team Dana Bash. She can address federal policy and he can address how that translates down to the state and local government. They'll be able to laugh, joke and play off each other, too.

(80 posts)She should be doing this without the male chaperone. There will be backlash.

(11,364 posts)He's proof of her excellent judgement as a leader. She will be his boss, but it will be collaborative and they'll be a team. She's going to show us their chemistry and I look forward to it. If they're appearing together, it's what SHE wants to do, and that's good enough for me.

(80 posts)But what do the undecided know? There's a lot of worry out there that she's installed and put over rather than the independent, capable candidate she obviously is to supporters. It's a lot of the talk that put our Biden out of the race.

(11,364 posts)There is no divide amongst democrats about our candidates, the Harris-Walz ticket. No one believes she was "installed" except the trolls attempting to sow division in the party and the nation. I'm only going to say this once but I'm going to say it very loud:
IN OUR PRIMARIES, WE VOTED FOR A TICKET: BIDEN/HARRIS. BIDEN CHOSE TO DROP HIS RE-ELECTION BID. KAMALA HARRIS BECAME THE NOMINEE. THIS IS WHAT WE AS DEMOCRATS VOTED FOR.
Even those of us who didn't want Biden to drop out - and I am one - we're very happy with the results because our concerns were related to some of the strange ideas being thrown around. The worst idea ever invented was those morons who were throwing around that stupid-ass

(8,150 posts)The press badgered Harris for an interview and she said she would - by the end of the month. I don't think they expected the interviewer to face 2 people instead of just one. Smart move, IMO.
