Discussing the high number of first-time donors to the Harris/Walz campaign yesterday on MSNBC.....

..... and the proliferation of $5 and $10 donations, and the fact that pollsters are likely overlooking a lot of these people, one of the commentators, I believe Mara Gay, said, "You better believe that someone who donates $5 is planning to vote."
Very true. And I suspect pollsters are missing a lot of these people.

I'm one of those $5 donors. Basso8vb Aug 2024 #1
I do believe it. Women are taking their country and bodies back. I hope it's every election! lindysalsagal Aug 2024 #2
Yes, I agree that pollsters are missing the bulk of voters in their tallies, and I'm basing this on, for example in my SWBTATTReg Aug 2024 #3

I'm really really really tired of the "I don't do politics" whine.

case, I refuse to respond to any poll, any questionnaire, any calls, any electronic communications on how I feel about the voting, whom I want, etc. Why? Because I don't think that my answers / responses will be kept private, and that they'll be used negatively against me/others in 'blue' territories.

And you're damn right we'll vote in probably record-breaking numbers, being that a lot of us want to shut the moron up once and for all (tRUMP). I'm sick and tired of his endlessly running mouth and I don't ever want to hear from him ever again. And I'm not the only one who feels this way.

A lot of people I've talked w/, individually and in small groups all echoed this very same sentiment, including, get this,
my republican friends too! They are sick and tired of his constantly running mouth, and texts and just want him to just shut up! I'm in MO, so I hope MO, the 'show me state', can led the Country in showing everyone else how to dump tRUMP at the ballot box.

I'm in a very blue city in a blue state and I have the luxury of having ZERO Republican "friends." I cut off my lingering Republican friend (from waaay back in middle school) when I realized she'd supported Trump in 2020, didn't seem at all bothered by the coup attempt, and scolded our text group about "bothering" her with texts when Roe was overturned. (Fuck her; I'm done!) Anyway, I do like hearing reports like these from people in redder areas.
