Should Fox News be part of the White House press corps?

Consider that they have argued in court that they are entertainment and not news, I think Comedy Central has better reason for being there than Fox. My opinion is that unless they submit to accountable practice, and retractions when wrong, they should not be part of the press corps. If they do submit to accountable practice and agree that they have a responsibility to honest news practice, then they should again be considered. Their chyron should be considered part of their speech as far as having a responsibility to present the truth, retract lies and be part of the respected public discourse.

At this time, Comedy Central has shown a long pattern of responsible journalism and having their more fantastic skits being obvious to their audience as humor.

Perhaps there should be a standard qualifications for all news services in the WH Corps and elsewhere. Not politicized but fact-based.

press secretary avoid calling out Fox or nepo-boy Doocy for questions, on the grounds that his employer has been sued world wide for being a dishonest purveyor of truth, and the White House cannot expect fair treatment from them.

I also feel it is beneath the dignity of Biden or Harris to even acknowledge Fox News is in the room. Ignore them.

The owner Murdoch is a racist cracker from down under, and his news team should be shunned for being habitual liars.

If they want to change their testimony in court now we'll see what a judge says. And their lawyers.

I don't see how it hurts to cut them out. When they complain, the White House can put together an hours-long supercut of their blatant lies, racism, GOP-boosterism, attention-seeking sensationalist 'questions' posed by their press corps representative, and hand out the URL for anyone who wants to watch it. As for those who claim it creates a bad precedent, I disagree. Does it really? How helpful was it to have MSNBC in the press room for the Trump press conferences (sparring matches)? It made absolutely no difference when they had them, and then they decided to stop having them anyway. Do you actually think they'll not cut off outlets they don't like if they get another crack at it?

The press is broken. Might as well point that out and not reward the propagandists with even a shred of legitimacy. They can go cry to their deplorables about it, they're going to do that anyway.

They went to court to prove that they are indeed NOT a news organization.

No credentials for them.
