The legacy media has been creating news about this never-ending presidential election instead of reporting on it. Journalists create a particular narrative and then call it a crisis.
The latest example is the beltway media's insistence that Kamala Harris do a sit down interview. The voters haven't been demanding she do one. Only the press pool and opinion writers. They turned it into an important story when most of the electorate couldn't care less and won't even watch.
It's been the story of this whole campaign. The press is never satisfied. They want drama and suspense to boost viewership and clicks.
From debates to polls to press conferences every faux outrage is turned into a monumental moment for the democratic candidate.
Meanwhile Trump says or tweets something every hour that should end his political career permanently.

(102,790 posts)without a teevee since 1980. I do stream news online but that's the only connection beyond videos I watch here on DU. All those videos are right here, most that I would be interested in, on DU and already watched by somebody.
I avoid advertising and my life is better for it.

(8,275 posts)On the floor got under their skin. (At the DNC) The new message is if they arent going to play fair then go home. We dont need your sorry one sided questions. Trump doesnt even HAVE a policy and they never ask him anything that requires thinking.
(Or dont demand any answers.)
A new day is dawning. They will figure it out sooner or later.
