https://elections2024.thehill.com/maryland/maryland-senate-hogan-alsobrooks/The polls are tightening. Her lead was close to 10 points not very long ago.
The ads on our TVs are getting edgier. There is also a nasty Hogan ad paid for by (wait for it) . . . . .

(5,143 posts)then the first poll I saw after the primary showed Alsobrooks with a 10-point lead.
Now this one is closer, but Alsobrooks still leads.
The Democratic candidate in Maryland must emphasize what it means for that state to elect a Republican to the Senate now. It means MAGAt control of the Senate, which means more Supreme Court justices who want to take away our rights, or the prevention of new justices who would preserve and restore our rights (the rights of women, specifically--- I'm not a woman but I side with them!)
No matter how much Hogan talks about being 'independent', his very election there would guarantee that Republicans who are far more extreme would control the Senate, and it would not matter what he claims to think--- and in such an instance, he would probably vote with them anyway.

(2,217 posts)has been VOLATILE, to say the least. I'm not as worried about this seat as I am the MT seat, but it's not a gimme.
LOVE Alsobrooks, so I hope she pulls away!
