"Harris wears earbuds to avoid taking questions from press"

That's the dumbass chyron on Fox this morning. VP Harris had earbuds in while walking on the tarmac GI board AF2. Unfortunately I have to see Fox at times due to my work and I saw that this morning and after I got over my initial anger I had to laugh. That's all they have, that's it. They act as if Trump has routinely, willingly stopped and answered press questions in a similar scenario. If wearing earbuds while walking on the tarmac to board a plane is the worst they've got, I think we're in good shape lol

Since the Punditocracy thrives on attention, starve the narcissists of what they need. Changes in how the White House Press Pool is run and how questions are asked and answered need to be done as well. The chaos of overshouting questions isn't a good image.

She was wearing them to protect her hearing from the engine noise, or maybe she needed to be plugged in to a security feed.

Obviously the sun rises and sets around the press's asses so how dare the VP ignore their hyena-like cackling?

There is a proper time and place for commentary and the tarmac is not one of them. That this has become a backdrop is absurd at best. Given the security issues of our time, she should be whisked into and out of one vehicle to the next without fanfare or crowds for the most part. When there are dignitary greetings on the tarmac, I have bad feelings about those. It's an inhospitable environment to begin with so I don't get why that's a location of choice for press encounters.

It helps them focus. And they could be listening to motivational content, or music, etc.

in government and business have such busy lives that they do phone business "on the fly" walking from one place to another.

Harris is keeping a very active schedule, constantly on the move, and is still actively involved as VP, too.

I wouldn't blame her for tuning out the media, but I also would not assume that that's what she is doing.

I have a friend who goes on and on about something someone said on Fox. Or how he predicts Fox’s slant on something.

They’re terribly boring conversations.

Weird Little Guys is a weekly show about the worst people you’ve never heard of, taking you beyond the headlines to get to know the race warriors and aspiring terrorists trying to unravel the fabric of our society. Weaving together the origin stories of modern American white supremacist groups and the crimes that land their members in court, independent journalist Molly Conger exposes the monsters for what they really are - some weird guy. Whether they’re conspiring to build bombs or serving swastika shaped cookies at a dinner party, the weird little guys trying to destroy America are a little less scary with their masks off.
