If it was about babies...

If it was about babies, we’d have excellent and free universal maternal care. You wouldn’t be charged a cent to give birth, no matter how complicated your delivery was. If it was about babies, we’d have months of parental leave for every one.

If it was about babies, we’d have free lactation consultants, free diapers, free formula. If it was about babies, we’d have free childcare from newborns on. If it was about babies, we’d have universal pre-school and pre-k and guaranteed after school placements.

If it was about babies….but it’s not.

Not that a regret it a bit. I remember my dad telling me when he was real old and knowing he didn’t have much time left that raising us kids(7) was his greatest accomplishment. I think about that sometimes now that I’m old.

When my husband and I were dating, he would say he'd like 3 kids. I would just smile and say nothing. I was the one using birth control so I had nothing to worry about. That's when I learned God has a sense of humor, because I had 3 kids and I was on birth control every time!

I was lucky because I had a husband whose greatest joy was being a father and who participated in every part of that job title. It could have been very different for me and I was grateful that my 3 daughters had a choice of when they wanted to be mother's. My 15 year old granddaughter might have no choice at all

I witnessed it this spring. Flash flooding in red counties here and they all lined up for federal relief.

I remember when these same people complained when we rescued people after Katrina. Hypocrites all.

Even though there was no guarantee, we invested in their college education, every thing from trade school to advanced degrees. We lived below our means and still support them a bit even though our children are in their 50s and grandchildren are in their 30s. We retired a litlle poorer but now live in a granny unit on our grandson's five acres. We moved here about eight months ago. They even helped us move 175 miles. It's our final downsize, but we are comfortable in our brand new, but small manufactured home.

When the grandchildren were in school, we helped with their homework and at times drove them to and from school. In the end, I'm happy the way things have turned out. We are in our early 70s and in pretty good health. Two of our great grandchildren live here on the same lot.

I had the pleasure (yes, pleasure) of taking her to her color guard practices three or four times a week - a good 30 minute drive. Her mom and step-dad both work at the dealership where I got my current auto. The little shyster taught me quite a few things about the radio setup in the car and I developed a "tolerance" for the music she listens to via Apple play (Bluetooth connection in the car - I knew it was there, just didn't realize you could listen to Spotify through it). The things you can learn from a 12 year old.

Control the bodies of the largest group of people in this country and it’s easy to control the bodies of the smaller groups of people. Controlling bodies is slavery.

Nobody gives a shit about any fetus once it hits the air and turns into a baby. Babies are expensive, and billionaires sure as hell don't want to pay any taxes to help poor and powerless women keep them alive.

Never think it has anything at all to do with babies because that has never been the point.

I think it might be about babies. Poor uneducated babies. A permanent underclass that is readily manipulated. Billionaires don't care
about "healthy" babies. Just the production of same. More and more people. A desperate dumb as shit cohort that can be manipulated by religion, by fear, by hate. Inasmuch as women are required for the babies - they must be controlled - says JD and his smarty-pants nihilist thinktankers.

we'd have universal, free prenatal care to insure all those uneducated babies would grow up into strong and obedient workers.

No, it's about controlling women. Period. Full stop.

That Jehovah puts the soul in the zygote the second the sperm and egg meet, and that's why 'bortions are murder. It destroys a human soul.

They aren't concerned with all the rest of that post-birth stuff and wouldn't understand what Librulz are talking about with "controlling women" - they're women.

They're also perfectly happy with IVF, though if they actually believe that abortion destroys human souls, they wouldn't be. IVF either selects (destroys) implanted embryos or leaves them in frozen Limbo.
