I sent a sizeable check for Senator Brown's (Ohio) election campaign. As such, I sent it Certified mail, return receipt.
It is now 10 days and it still has not been delivered! It had to go less than 20 miles to be delivered. I live in the suburbs and Senator Brown's office is downtown.
Yesterday I filed a case with USPS, (It only took more than an hour holding for a human to answer the phone.) The agent filed a case on the problem. I was then told it would take 2-4 days for someone to work on it. And there is not website to get updated information on the case.
If it is not delivered today, I will drive downtown and hand deliver it.
In this day and age, there is no excuse for this kind of service (or lack of service)
When Kamala gets in the White House, she needs to replace the idiot Postmaster General.

(12,552 posts)It requires more handling. A signature, a notice to pick up if the person is not home, a second notice then it is held for ten days and then returned. Using just first class mail would have gotten it there sooner.

(607 posts)There is a certified mail tracking section on the USPS mail website. I can see where it is, but as yet it has not been sent out for delivery. There is someone in the Senator Brown's office from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM. No excuse.

(12,552 posts)to sign for mail? Some around here are just window dressing. Open a few hours a day if that. Volunteer people. If you want Brown to get it for sure send it again to his Campaign address is my suggestion. I am not disagreeing that the mail has slowed under DeJoy, it has.
