Arlington Cemetery and the GOP

Arlington is where the honored dead, who sacrificed their lives for their country, are laid to rest. I've not been to Arlington, but I have visited the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, which is on the high ground above Omaha Beach.

Like Arlington, this was sacred ground. It was very quiet there. Conversations were in whispers. The rows of white Crosses and Stars of David are perfectly aligned on newly mowed green grass. Even though I knew no one buried there, it was a very moving experience, looking down at that beach, imagining what those young men must have gone through, what they endured for their country.

Lately, I've been thinking about the GOP politicians serving in Congress and State Houses who know Trump should never be elected President again, but are too scared to say it out loud. Yes, there are exceptions and I'm thankful for them, but most of those either quit are retired. The rest are just afraid. They're afraid if they criticize Trump, they'll lose their job, not an arm or a leg or their life. They must think their country is not worth sacrificing a job for.

The contrast between those cowards and those buried at Arlington and Colleville-sur-Mer is jarring.

One set, rethugs, are paid ruskie ASSets.

The other group, the deceased heroes who sacrificed their lives for our democracy, are REAL patriots, heroic Americans!

And the rethugs who refuse to speak out and DEMAND invetigations into ruskie rethug ASSets in Congress are just as bad as those actively involved! Looking at Liz Cheney, who REFUSED to allow for such investigations!
