Could Trump be planning to throw the election as the trigger for a civil war?

If you go into some of the less savory parts of the Internet you'll learn that people are just salivating over the thought of holding a civil war that'll allow the hard right to take over the country and abolish...I don't know, porn in the libraries, drag queens, abortion, childlessness, not being Christian enough or whatever other dreams they are having.

So, here's what I'm thinking.

First, Trump goes into November and gets his orange butt stomped in glorious fashion.
Next, he goes on TrumpTwitter and tells his minions the election was stolen from him so they have to go out and "fight for your country."
Said minions pick up one of their kajillion rifles and start shootin' at anyone who looks like they might have voted for Kamala Harris.
Then he tells the government that he can make it all stop right now if they only let him be president for the rest of his life.

I understand this approach is fraught with problems, starting out with that his Secret Service security detail would roll him up in a latrine screen and take him straight to jail, followed by the National Guard and the patriotic street gangs shutting this war down QUICK. However, he's the kinda guy who'd love a little carnage in the streets to "prove" the new administration is "soft on crime."

I do think there would be deaths from this, but I think "civil war" is grossly overstating what would happen. His little minions are really great at talking a mean game on Trump Twitter. Ooo-ee tough guys. They love their pictures of themselves with their guns, they love to take their guns to the donut shop to pick up a few pastries with sprinkles. But being told to "go out and kill the people who voted for Kamala" is kind of a tall order. They know that their J6 buddies are in jail. Trump lost the election so there will be no pardons, ever. And murder is going to be a life sentence, not the months that the J6 bunch got. What if they shoot and miss? The relatives will come out in droves and take them down in revenge. Are they going into blue cities and states? Where are they going to find these voters?

Also, I know they are stupid beyond belief, but maybe one little pointed head among them will suggest that maybe a Democrat here or there might actually own a gun themselves. A handful will find that a suicidal challenge, but I'm not so sure how many will be willing to risk losing a leg or being paralyzed for life because they got shot in the back.

I am actually very concerned about our neighbor here in this small southern all-red town. He is a gun nut, shoots one of his many guns off in his (residential) yard every day. I honestly believe he would come up here and shoot us if he knew we were Dems. So the threat is real, I get that. But maybe not civil war-level.

Jan6 worked because Trump was in charge. He had the means, he had inside people letting the idiots in, showing them where to go (remember those "tours" of places tourists don't go?). Biden is in charge now. He won't allow this to happen to us again. If he won't act, Harris will.

Any blue states that aren't ready for this, even any red states, will be handling some crazy shit, but I expect most won't allow anything to happen. Not on any large scale. Few people in the streets, but any shooting gets instant return fire.

First of all, we have to stop pretending he can’t just win outright. This has always been a coin flip election and remains one now. Turnout is going to matter more than ever.

I don’t think there’s any size victory that is going to stop his gang of traitors from trying to delegitimize the election should we win but the closer it is, the better their chances of pulling that off. From refusing to certify to doing whatever they can to throw it to the House or Supreme Court. That’s their move.

There isn’t going to be any civil war in any case. What are these MAGAts going to do? March into Philly, New York, Chicago and L.A. and start blasting on people? No way. His support is almost exclusively rural. They aren’t doing anything in an organized fashion and they’re going to be shocked to find that we city mice are just as armed and dangerous as they are.
