Just watched a replay of Trump's child care word salad.

Last edited Fri Sep 6, 2024, 08:11 AM - Edit history (1)

It was precisely like a kid giving a report on a book he hasn't read.

Edited to say that I'm listening to Morning Joe right now saying the same thing. I swear I thought of it without hearing anything anybody else had to say. All I had seen at the point that I posted this was the clip.

And have varying levels of intelligence. The difference with Trump is that he had virtually unlimited funding to back him and an extremely well connected ethically and morally bankrupt father who greased the skids for him. Had he not started with that advantage he would have been a petty criminal at worst and a dirt lot used car salesman at best.

So, like, "To Kill a Mockingbird" is, like, totally about this bird, right? I mean, not just any bird, but, like, this super cool Mockingbird that's causing drama in the hood. It's all about this kid, probably wearing a rad outfit, who's like, "Whoa, this bird needs to chill!" But then, surprise! The bird's all about spreading love through its song, like, totally misunderstood, you know? And there's this lawyer guy, like, swoon-worthy lawyer vibes, who's trying to, like, defend the bird’s honor or something. Drama, intrigue, and, like, bird justice, you feel me?

Okay, so, it's called "Catcher in the Rye", right? It's gotta be about this dude who's, like, a pro baseball player, but he's totally over it. He's, like, done with catching those flying baseballs and just wants to, I don't know, catch some peace and quiet in a rye field or something. And then, there's this twist where he meets a group of rogue farmers who teach him the true meaning of life through... rye cultivation? It's deep, man.

There's this book and you can see the title on the cover is "Old Man and the Sea," it's, like, this epic tale of a dark and stormy sea where this old dude, wearing all black, is battling, like, his inner demons while trying to, I don't know, conquer the sea or something. It's a metaphor, you know, for the deep, dark abyss of the human soul and the relentless waves of despair crashing against the shores of... um, existential angst.

That group may be stupid like Lawrence said, and they probably are, but I don't think that's why they clapped.

The people on the stage beside him looked uncomfortable, glazing over with fake interest, shifting in their seats. If the audience hadn't started clapping, he would have just kept babbling, and probably would still be babbling right now, this minute. I really don't see that applause as agreement or approval, I think it was about shutting him the eff up.

Also, his makeup person did a shit job.

they can always change out JD for a better VP, then do the 25 on Trump.............That way they don't have to worry about getting the 70 Million Trumphumper's votes until it is past history and they don't need them anymore......

Everyone should be expecting all kinds of corrupt shit from the Republican Party in these future months. Maybe even "October Surprises" EVERY WEEK with a HUGE one two weeks before the election, like they are known to do since Carter/Reagan.......
They are going for broke this time around, fully pissed off that they didn't pull it off in 2020.
The Republican Oligarchs and Corporations are also throwing train loads of financial support to the down ballot elections in the House, Senate, and State Governors.......which is definitely more frightening in a way.........

I don’t think it’s many and I hope conservative outlets are making a mountain out of a mole hill but HOW CAN AN INTELLIGENT HUMAN VOTE FOR TRUMP!
Sorry to yell. The article was on a Fox affiliate but it named several known persons including former California Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero who announced at the Capitol Wednesday that she's switching parties and will register as a Republican.😱
