Seems like a no brainer given there is no precedent making such a huge concession.

And if the orange idiot wins can he just do whatever he wants?

I know it's unlikely but why then delay the sentence.

"This is America, no one is above the law", that person will be dismissed out of hand and everything they say after that will be considered a lie.

At least one person in America is clearly above the law and he rubs it in our face every day.
