Trump rebrands his ramblings as 'I do the weave' - but is he just losing it?

I do the weave? This reminds me of a relative who was in denial of the fact that he was starting to suffer cognitive decline and was resistant to getting treatment that could mitigate such decline.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/article/2024/sep/07/election-trump-speeches

For those baffled by Donald Trump’s forays into meandering discourses about electrocution, bacons sales or cannibal killers at his recent political rallies, the former US president had an explanation.

Trump assured supporters in Pennsylvania on Saturday that what might look like incoherent ramblings as he frequently departed from his scripted speech were instead indicators of his brilliance that impressed other great minds.

“I do the weave. You know what the weave is? I’ll talk about, like, nine different things that they all come back brilliantly together. And it’s like friends of mine that are like English professors, they say: ‘It’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever seen,’” he told a bemused audience.

“But the fake news, you know what they say, ‘He rambled.’ It’s not rambling. What you do is you get off a subject to mention another little tidbit, then you get back on to the subject, and you go through this and you do it for two hours, and you don’t even mispronounce one word.”

Whenever "like" is used repeatedly, it's subject becomes questionable.
So this is what is actually being said: "And imaginary friends of mine that are imaginary English professors..."

Drives me crazy. As does going up at the end of every sentence. As if it's a question instead of a statement.

We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville? I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Gimme five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we? Oh, yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I really try not to do it because young people judge old people. Why does Trump get a pass?

9. We're not buying it, moron. There's no reason to 'weave' back and forth from one tidbit to another.

This 'weave' crapola is something Steven Miller or some other lackey came up with for trump to say to explain his inability, because of his rapidly declining mental incoherence, to stay on one subject while speaking.

That explanation was broached on "Morning Joe" earlier this week and the hosts and guests all got a good chuckle out of it.

Let's see if he tries that crapola at the debate on Tuesday.

Yes, some lackey had the bright idea.

He knows he sounds like a rambling moron, so his instinct is to lie and gaslight the issue away, as always. "Doing the weave," what a joke.

The harder he tries to explain something, the bigger the lie he's selling, the more he's trying to hide. His ego and pathological insecurities can't handle how truly less-than he is in all ways. That's especially true of his most obvious deficiencies, like his inferior intelligence (stable genius) and speech (the best words) and appearance (the ridiculous hair and makeup) and business acumen (Art of the Deal.)

What a pathetic fragile little man.
