We won't let Donald Trump intimidate us.
We won't let him suppress the vote.
We won't let him subvert the election.
We won't let him cheat.

(18,060 posts)but I've never heard the term evil keel, which is in your post, so I thought maybe it was a typo.
Anyways, have a great Sunday.
hlthe2b
(113,971 posts)The phrase "on an even keel" has nautical origins and has been used figuratively since the mid-1800s. It refers to keeping a ship's keel level, which ensures a smooth sail. The term has come to mean that someone or something is progressing steadily and smoothly, without any sudden changes. For example, "She had the knack of keeping us on an even keel in any emergency"

I make my share of grammatical errors, misspellings, and typos, but this isn't one of them... Oops... I did have a typo. Corrected, thanks.
MarineCombatEngineer
(18,060 posts)but you did write evil keep, a term I've never heard used, so naturally I thought it was a typo.
Oh well, no biggie.
hlthe2b
(113,971 posts)You too, enjoy your Sunday.
MarineCombatEngineer
(18,060 posts)Instead of typing keel, I typed keep, which makes less sense than anything posted here.
Guess I need to go back to typing school.

(4,039 posts)if he is elected. Are half the country really ok with that? I know his base has fallen for his election lies, but the Independents? Undecideds? Moderate Republicans? Are they ok with prosecutions and jail sentences for everybody Trump doesn't like (which covers a lot of people) based on no evidence?
Why is it even a race? Are voters asleep?

(7,541 posts)I could be what he wants to stop. I will soon be 75, get SS and Medicare. Hell, he wants me out of the way.
I am a gun control, supporter of Planned Parenthood ( hell, I used to work for them). I am his enemy.

(4,039 posts)its just a matter of who he goes for first and how far he goes. He also turns allies into enemies at an amazing rate. Remember Night of the Long Knives? Do we think this is beyond Trump?

The parts about Marc being "evil" and "crazy" are Steve Bannon projecting. It's Steve and his far-right allies who are evil and crazy.
The point is that even a rightwing sociopath like Steve Bannon can perceive that Marc Elias is smart, tough, and a fighter.

(6,480 posts)election according to that state's laws. TSF is the one who can't stand up to Constitutional scrutiny. He couldn't abide by the oath of office he took.
He doesn't use Constitutional scrutiny in this tweet -- I was recalling a statement he made during a rally or to an interviewer, where he termed it Constitutional scrutiny. Sorry to misquote the above tweet.

(1,056 posts)That's who Trump is: if I lose, it's rigged, if I win, it's real and everyone should accept it. That's what a 2 year old says. I am so sick of his whininess and his immaturity. It is appalling and disgusting that a GAM should act this way.
