When Hill spoke later in the day he asked, What if I wasnt Tyreek Hill?

Tyreek Hill @cheetah on his way to the stadium, detained for a traffic violation. 4 cops, hes on the ground with a knee in his back. He was subsequently released.
A traffic violation.
The knee would've been on his neck and not just his back.

(6,810 posts)Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support.
Hills agent, Drew Rosenhaus, was travelling in the same car as his client and called the incident a heartbreaking situation and completely unnecessary.

(17,389 posts)Three domestic violence incidents in his past, one of which includes a broken arm on a three year old child. Got probation the first time for strangling his pregnant girlfriend and nothing for the others.

He didnt deserve this just because of what you perceive was a free pass.

(12,046 posts)According to a Stillwater Police Department arrest report, his girlfriend at the time, Crystal Espinal, showed up in an emergency room with cuts and bruises on her face and neck. (The officer who filed the report noted that her lip was busted, that she was wincing with pain and that the mark under her eye was turning purple as she spoke.) Espinal, who was eight weeks pregnant at the time, said Hill had grabbed her neck with his hands, pinned her against the wall and then thrown her to the ground like a rag doll. She told an officer that Hill had picked her up by her hair and put her in a headlock. After Espinal had screamed I cant breathe several times, she alleged, he released her, then sat on top of her, punching her in the stomach.

(3,120 posts)saw a different video. I didn't see anyone getting beat to the ground, or beaten at all. I saw a bunch of assholes with ego issues, including one of the cops.

(3,639 posts)He pleaded guilty to strangulation. He beat his pregnant partner. And that wasnt his last bit of DV.
Does he deserve this from a traffic stop? Nope. But he also doesnt deserve to be making millions and running around free when hes a psychopathic abuser.

(26,580 posts)Cop saw me speeding. I lowered windows (untinted), checked out as white, got a ticket.
That being near the stadium, he may be a known quantity. Cops got tons of data. More than you suspect.
I just look at statistics. White folks rarely hit the pavement.
It's not an isolated thing. And one should not generalize from one example, but see the big picture. It tells a story.

(20,847 posts)He was kicked off his college team for punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and several years later was recorded threatening the mother of another one of his children. There have been other incidents including an assault. Hes never faced any meaningful consequences for any of that solely because hes Tyreek Hill.
