Trump leads by just 2 points in latest Florida poll

With all the angst and hand ringing of the Time's poll, this Morning Consult poll has a narrow Trump lead in Florida. Both of these polls are high quality, but both can't be correct. There is no way Trump is up by 1 nationally and up by only 2 in Florida.

A new poll shows former President Trump leading Vice President Harris by only 2 points in Florida ahead of what could be a tighter-than-expected race in the red state in November.

Trump leads Harris with 49 to her 47 percent support in the Sunshine State, according to a Morning Consult poll

Before I entertain a possible conspiracy, I first have to eliminate incompetence.

One of these polls is incorrect.

I believe this is real as the abortion amendment will definitely help drive turnout which will help Harris. Will it be enough? Who knows? The abortion amendment requires 60% approval. If that passes, then I think Harris can actually win. (I'm not predicting a win, odds are still strongly against it, but I no longer think it would be impossible).

...but "Fool's Gold" Florida is actually in play, and I don't make that assessment lightly.

The confluence of ballot measures on weed and abortion, a presidential race, and an unpopular Senator who wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, has made FL as gettable for Democrats as it's been in years. The campaign is going to rely on its internal polls, but I believe Harris (and Murcasel-Powell) have a chance to win.
