WTF!?

As the election approaches, new polling shows the breadth of support for Trumps authoritarian tendencies.
If the 2024 presidential election were held today, its not clear who would win. Vice President Kamala Harris has a slight national advantage, according to The Washington Posts average of polls, but margins in swing states are uniformly narrow. If the polls are overestimating Harriss support, Donald Trump will return to the White House. If they are underestimating her support, shell be the next president.
Unless, of course, theres some successful, anti-democratic effort to subvert her victory. An effort that about a quarter of Republicans and 1 in 7 Americans overall think should be undertaken in the event that Trump loses.
Thats the determination of new national polling from PRRI. But before we dig into that, its useful to look at a different newly released poll, this one from the Associated Press and its partners at NORC and USAFacts.
In that poll, Americans were asked what information sources they trusted when it came to accurately reporting the results of the presidential election. The source that engendered the most trust (here reflecting the percentage of people saying they had at least a moderate amount of trust) was the certified results produced by government agencies. Local news sources (television and newspapers) were the next most trusted, followed by national news outlets. The candidates and their campaigns were among the least trusted particularly Trumps campaign.

(26,257 posts)government, throw them ALL in jail, and imprison them for election fraud. Do not allow any of them to ever vote again, unless they utter a new oath to the US.
tRUMP should be thrown in jail, w/o the abilty to ever use his phone again or communicate w/ the outside world. People would more or likely be killed yet again during this event, so the president should declare immediately a national emergency, and allow the government broad latitude in dealing w the rebels. No mercy.

1968 - Nixon-Agnew dealt with North Vietnam to sabotage Paris peace talks
1980 - Reagan-Bush dealt with Ayatollah hostage takers
1988 - Bush pardons Weinberger and other Iran-Contra traitors to avoid trial and exposing his own role
2000 - Bush-Cheney count on GOP-leaning Supreme Court to win Florida and, thus, US election
2016 - Trump calls on Russia for help to defeat Hillary Clinton
The record is clear: In Presidential election after Presidential election, Republicans get away with treason.
We hear, Its just politics. Then we are told to, Move on. And the GOP gets away with it, again.
Thus, today, Treason is a regular part of life in todays USA and The MAGA think its normal to be NAZI.
